Gourmet Guns n Roses got its start as an initiative of Young Guns Toastmasters. The success and popularity of Young Guns led some of the longer serving members to establish a new club.
It has been suggested that they formed a new club so that they didn't have to wait to the end of the meeting to order a second drink. Of course they will tell you it was an opportunity to extend their speaking skills and take up the challenge of completing more advanced and sometimes lengthier speeches.
Since our start in 2012, we've had Members join from all over Western Australia. We've thoroughly enjoyed the diversity and benefited from the different points of view.
Our Club remains true to its roots. We still enjoy a relaxed meal while Members present speeches, network and learn from one another.
The rewards go to the risk-takers, those who are willing to put their egos on the line and reach out to other people and to a richer, fuller life for themselves.”
Membership is open to everyone. This mix creates a supportive and challenging environment for all our Members to hone their public speaking skills. Those wanting to improve their established speechcraft will find an open audience that will support you while you take some risks. While beginners will benefit from a broad range of helpful insight and plenty of practical advice.
The club also runs regular Speechraft courses for those members of the public, preferring to learn via a public speaking workshop, please contact us if you are interested in having a six week course tailor made for you company or organisation.
